Nich is currently sitting in a chair which is just slightly tipped back, feet crossed at the ankles on a table that has, apparently, been doubling as his desk today. He can escape his office, yes, but he can never seem to escape his work. That said, he looks up from the folder propped open on his knees to give the newcomer a smile far more cheerful than he actually feels.

"Hell on Earth!" He drops the smile as he looks back to his work. "According to some, anyway. Others call it a playground and still others call it--" A pause. "Well, all right, some of us don't have a name for it."

Dmitri looks faintly amused. "Hell on Earth, my mother tells me, was Russia under the old Czar, so I would not call it the first -- thus far, anyway -- but it does not look quite like the second, either. So it appears the third category is the most sensible."

"Well, we don't have a Czar or any ruler or even leader of any sort even by the vaguest meaning of any such word." Having actually finished his reading this time, he closes the file in his hands and places it on the table, bringing his feet down to stand and offer a hand. "Dr. Nicholas E. Hades, at your service. Most people call me Nich."

"No ruler? Then it's anarchy, essentially? Does it work at all?" He shakes the offered hand, smiling. "A pleasure."

"I'd tell you, but I'm afraid I haven't found that out myself." There's a hint of a grin. "Hello, Dmitri."

"Nikolai!" Clearly, a brotherly hug is called for. "Wherever it is, it's strange, isn't it?"

Then he'll get a brotherly hug in return, even if it is a brief one. "Very strange, from what I have seen."

"Would if I could, sweetheart, but it looks unlikely." He'll offer a genuinely cheerful grin -- probably somewhat strange-looking to Dmitri due to the makeup, piercings, and tattoos, but for now he's oblivious of that. "Welcome to wherever the hell we are, at any rate."

Dmitri can't help but look curious obout Ky's strange appearance, but decides not to ask. "Thank you, I suppose. And you are . . .?"

"Ky Hades." And he bows, low and sweeping and overly theatrical. "Pleasure to meet you."

"And you." Dmitri makes a short bow in return, taking Ky's perfectly seriously.

I am. I hope he hasn't told you anything terrible about me. *isn't from a time where one usually shakes hands with women, so he raises the hand to his lips to kiss -- it's a custom he has some reservations about, but most people seem to accept it easiily enough* A pleasure to meet you, Citizen.
