They're both soft enough so that only the observant passerby would hear them, but the next statement is a little louder; she's not quite sure this isn't a dream yet, actually. "

Deia just quirks an eyebrow, because she might as well be social with a new girl (after all, it could be worse -- she could be male). "If this is a dream, our collective subconscious is extremely twisted," she says wryly, studying Morgan absently as if filing away all of the visible details for later analysis (which, of course, she is).

Morgan tilts her head thoughtfully. "Who's to say it isn't?"

"It's entirely possible." She sounds vaguely resigned by now -- not that we're still harbouring a bit of bitterness or anything, really. "I've seen nothing here to make me think otherwise."
