There's a loud thump of hardcover books landing heavily on the table, winged carefully from across the room. They were contained in a drawstring satchel, but begin to fall out from the force of the landing: The Necronomicon slips out, followed by a battered copy of the King James Bible, the collected works of H.P. Lovecraft, and several small ( Read more... )

*can't help looking amused* There's bound to be one somewhere in there. I'm afraid I'm running low myself. Actually, you can likely find the drink, sausages, and men as well, only if you find one with ties so horrible as to be blinding, he's mine. *grins innocently* Nice aim, by the way.

I'm not attracted to the awful-tie type anyway so you can keep him, though right now my criteria's gone a bit beyond clothes. I'd take anyone who spoke decent French or got me a nice Long Island Iced Tea. *shrugs* Thanks. Sometimes when librarians get bored we play Bookshelf Basketball with old periodicals. Guess it pays off.

Excellent. I believe I'll be doing that. *and looks amused* Well, we've got all types here, so I suppose you should be able to find someone. -- you're a librarian? You don't quite look the type.

Thanks for the information. I won't blow this joint any faster than I need to, then. Yes, I'm a research librarian. I tried glasses and long corduroy jumpers but they got in the way of seeing and stacking things.

He has no alcohol or meat products, but here's a beautiful young half-elf with a pot of tea. "I speak French," Anafiel offers. "Would you like some tea?"

"Yeah?" Betty tips her hat back and looks at him-- she's not fazed by the unusual appearance, being used to seeing stranger things. "I usually prefer dictionaries but maybe you can help me with a phrase. You don't speak medieval French, do you?" And she shakes her head. "Only if it's got a shot in it. I'm up to my eyeballs in tea already."

"Medieval French?" Ani repeated, confused. "I'm familiar with several dialects. Explain 'medieval'."

"Medieval French French. Like the kind they spoke in France during the middle ages. Paris specifically, I guess, though it could be-- I'm not sure, could be Provençal. Not French Canadian or Haitian French or anything like that."
