Thanks! The first one was a tree at the Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth. The second was at a weird, abandoned park on the outskirts of downtown F.W., and the third is a factory located directly across from the stairs in the second picture.

I could sue, but maybe I'll forgive 'em, depending on what they show this weekend.

Gorgeous! I especially love the first one.

I've been feeling the photography jones myself lately--I want to take pictures of all the abandoned buildings I love that I just know will be torn down someday. I'd also like to take pictures of local fashion icons like Hostess Sno-Ball hat lady, but that seems a little ethically shady. I'd be too cowardly to ask for permission, and just snapping secret shots like a spy seems nasty.

Do it, do it! I'll bet there's all kinds of cool stuff to see in your part of the country, all sorts of rubble.

I've considered taking pictures of random strangers, but without having a consent form in hand I'm afraid that not only would the pictures turn out crap (due to sneaky stealth photography), but I'd also end up feeling dirty somehow. It wouldn't be worthwhile.

I love that you chose to comment on the bit about ghosts because I was thinking about you when I wrote it, imagining that you'd love infrared film if anyone would. Have you ever set up a camera in a graveyard to see if you could catch any ghost hookers showing off? I'd be curious to try that out someday, but I bet your luck would be better than mine.

I was too cheap to buy any official equipment, so when I changed the film, I hid under a blanket in the closet. Spooky!

Thank you! It was in a secluded park near downtown that I used to visit sometimes, but in the past couple years Radio Shack has scooped it up and made it part of their company territory, so now it's off-limits.

I especially like the last one. It reminds me of Last Picture Show.

I came across this camera thread and thought it might be helpful to you.

It's so weird how that factory sits there abandoned, right on the very edge of downtown. With all the adventures in gentrification going on around there, I'm surprised no yuppies have grabbed it up to convert it into lofts.

That camera thread solves it! I know the one I want and I have you to thank!!!

You should sneak down to take some closeups of the factory.

On the camera: Yay, glad to be of help!
