Re: Dollhouse pilot - "The whole time that was, they had a gun against their heads. The whole time it was uncertain whether it was going to happen, whether we had to re-do the pilot... and a show with that kind of pedigree, with Joss, you'd think it would sort of be left alone."

On the Tron suit: He said that the Tron suit (from 2x11) was the hardest thing he had to do in his entire career. He said that it would have been better if he was just naked.

"... because that suit makes you more naked than naked and just squashes everything [...] and you also have to be [can't hear it properly] on the table for eight hours of shooting while the rest of the cast is just staring at your junk."

He couldn't wear anything underneath it because it wouldn't fit and there would be VPL (visible panty lines).

But besides the "Tron Suit of Ultimate Shame" everything else was really awesome.

He didn't read for the role of Dominic; he was called up to do a scene. He's always wanted to work with Joss Whedon.

He found Dominic to be interesting, very enigmatic and open to interpretation.

Re: Suits - "I got to wear the most amazing badass suits ever [...] Except for the Tron suit, all my other suits, those were the best on-camera suits I ever had. They were just beautifully detailed, these awesome suits."

Re: gelling with Olivia on and off-screen - "... it was weird because, we just got together for one scene in the pilot and we were like, by the end of it, we were hugging each other and Aww, I can't wait to see you in the fall, and we were pals, yeah we just cranked (?) it on some level and that made it perfect, cos I sort of... it helped me see instantly into that character cos I... I'm just gonna sound... now on the podcast, this is gonna sound incredibly ridiculous and pedantic but I based him on Sir Francis Walsingham."

Re: Dominic - "...But he was this guy, he was her majesty's spymaster and he knew everyone's secrets, but he just kept very quiet. And I was like, this was great, because in my first few episodes, I really had nothing to say. So how do I fill all this time? What is the inner life of this guy? And his inner life is that he would do anything for this woman, and everyone else is a piece of shit to him, and he will find out everything about them and destroy them, if need be... and kill them, if need be. Which was also great. I get to wear the badass, purple striped suit, and throw on an empty submachine gun and blasting people? Oh my god, I mean, that... that first scene, I get to run in a suit with a machine gun and I'm like, I am my favorite James Bond villain. I don't know how this happened. This is awesome!"

Re: Boyd taking over Dominic's job - "...yeah, but I mean, did he do it as well? No. (laughter) I'm too... I'm very protective of my characters. I don't have objectivity"

He went to see Olivia's play (In A Forest Dark and Deep) when he was in Britain for Echo-2

He loved the Dollhouse set (amazing and perfect).
