I never had a chance, did I?

I did something rather foolish last night. I went to see this:

So cute! I've impulsed many a thing off TradeMe but you get bonus points for it being alive. :)

How about Charlie? I have nothing.

TradeMe is an advertiser's dream for puppies. I can resist newspaper ads, but give me the cute faces and boom. Kryptonite for Dewey.

I suspect she will be Puppy! for weeks. We're having a really hard time agreeing on names.

PUPPY!! She's gorgeous!!

(Satchmo would be too fannish, wouldn't it? Also it's a boy's name. Um... yeah, I dunno. :-)

I don't know why I even pretended I wasn't going to do this. *g*

All I can think of are fannish related names too! And I have to say, fandom has ruined some of my daughter's suggestions: Maya, Chaya, Sora (TS and SGA, resp.) Why are the women all evil?!

It's nature's way of tricking you into it. Or a defence mechanism. One or the other. ;-)

Penelope?

Hmm - Penny may have possibilities... *ponders* Thanks!

I'm all about the two syllable names with dogs. Better for yelling across the dogpark. You can drag it out satisfyingly. Or bark it out short when you get really mad.

{{Satchmo}} - I adore him.

DOGGY! OMG, she is the mostest adorable!

How about a dog-naming competition at get-together? ;)

Hee - I think I'd go nuts if I have to keep calling "puppy, puppy, puppy" another week! Hopefully we'll be inspired tomorrow.

I was going to suggest 'Frankie'. Or 'Feli'. Or 'Roger'. Or 'Sarah'. :D

Well, Shari is a variant of Sarah... *g*

CUTE! I'm not surprised that you were powerless to resist - anyone would be. Just look at those pawsies!

My only suggestion for names is to have one that doesn't end in the "ee" sound, like your current dog's name. I agree that two-syllable names are definitely the way to go. I'd suggest Milo but I suppose that's technically a boy's name.

I was thinking Kayla, but now that she's here I'm not sure that suits. So far I'm leaning towards Shari, but yeah, that ee sound at the end may be problematic. Maybe Shara or Danya. Daughter suggested Rata, Mica, or Miada.

She's a real cuddler, but I can already see hints of future stubbornness.

And Keri is giving me betrayed looks and the expected jealousy pushiness but so far all is quiet in their sleeping area in the garage. Fingers crossed for continued quiet but I don't really expect it. *g*
