In fanfic, a disclaimer warns the readers of a myriad of subject matter, ie slash, het, hurt/comfort, OCC, etc. Should "not beta'd" fall into the same category

It depends on the author, of course. Many unbeta'd fics read nearly as good before they've been visited by a beta - others, even though they claim they've been beta'd, are painfully obvious that the betas are in sore need of a beta themselves.
You're right, though - the disclaimer would protect the author from receiving cruel notice.
You're one of the handful of authors whose works shine with or without a beta.
Thank you... I have to say that even unbeta'd my fics still bear the mark of jo who perchs on my shoulder and whispers in my ear regarding punctuation placement (still working on those ellipses though). IMHO, a good beta teaches they just don't 'do'~ if that makes any sense.
Interesting thought. I guess "unbeta'd" should be a warning. These days I don't tend to read unless I "know" the author, in which case I don't care if the fic is beta'd or not. In a new fandom, I think it would matter. Maybe. Hmmmm.... Thinky stuff.
Oh, and I think I have a lot of fics that need a warning. Ouch.

[That said - there're an awful lot of writers that I'll back away, screaming, from when they 'fess up. I don't think somehow you're one of them :-)]
