Spain will win the World Cup

The Dutch hope that the octopus Paul is mistaken this time

The octopus oracle predicts: Spain will win the World Cup and the Dutch don’t stand a chance. Germany will be placed third after a tough game against Uruguay.

Spain will win the soccer World Cup - the tentacle-oracle Paul leaves no doubt about that. In a matter of ( Read more... )

Thank you very much for the translations! It's interesting to see how close the words 'dream' and 'trauma' are in German. I once read that, oh heck, I'm going to remember this wrong, I know it ( ... )

Haha, no problem at all! In fact, that could be a symptom of being a writer, according to something I found on FF… in a way…: “If people start to notice that you tend to check your e-mail every day for a week, then suddenly disappear off the face of the planet.” And hey, look at me: I may have caught up with replying to PMs, but I haven’t gotten jacksh*t done for the next WIAW chapter or your b-day fic XD ( ... )

Exactly; every time we think we've seen it, we're proven wrong. I think it was my Mom who said she's actually hoping that Paul will not be right about the final game tonight, otherwise he might not get a moment of peace anymore because - and don't tell me this couldn't possibly happen - a bunch of people would be harassing him with questions... not just soccer questions... ;D

LOL, and she's probably right. He'd become a real tourist attraction!
Who're you rooting for, then? (I haven't been following the WC at all, but it's always interesting to hear from people who have been. xD)

Oh, I don't blame you for not following the WC - I mean, most of the games are really boring and end either 0:0 or 1:0 (in the group stage, at least), and technically I'm not into soccer at all, it's just in the last phases of these tournaments that I get caught up in it because it's... well, everywhere, and it's all everyone talks about. But I'm happy that this time, it turned out to be a quite interesting event ( ... )
