Weekend of busy and delayed

I'm going to try very hard to post tonight, but I might have to push today's prompt to tomorrow. This is partially because it's a hard prompt, partially because I had stuff to do this morning, partially because I have an Awesome and Wonderful thing to do tonight, which I need to get ready for and travel to, but also because the T sucks ass today

That's the T that I so often get. I have the added joy of adding commuter rail trains into the fail mix.

The Braintree branch was under construction this weekend, so they were bussing from JFK. For reasons that make no sense to me, they decided to label *all* the trains "Braintree" trains because of this. And many train conductors were clearly confused. What happened to you more-or-less happened to Kes and I on Saturday night. Luckily, after announcing the correction, they did then think to re-open the doors.

The conductor on that train was pretty punchy. Imagine the following in a spanish accent. "This is a Braintree train, Braintree. ...and Ashmont! Ashmont and Braintree, Braintree and Ashmont. Tonight only, two trains in one!" When we started to get close to JFK: "All Braintree customers *get off* the train at JFK, and go upstairs for the shuttle busses. All Ashmont customers, *just e-stay ON* the train!" It was a much more surreal trip than usual :-)
