I love this time of year, when I read all the Fall Premier issues in various magazines, and believe that I'll actually be entertained by television for at least 5 nights a week in the coming months. Then I watch some of the shows and reality sinks in again.

I saw a couple episodes of "Earl" last winter. It was beyond terrible...moronic really. I did like the first season so I hope they can get back to the basics, but they need a new director because they're making the cast members mug too much. They used to be gritty and believable, and the show was hilarious.

I'm looking forward to "True Blood" on HBO, hoping they'll do something interested with the vampire genre. My husband liked "Terminator" so I'll give it another go for his sake. I was kinda bored by it, but only watched one episode. I am looking forward to seeing how "Fringe" pans out.

I loved "Pushing Daisies" but I'm afraid it might not have long term legs, unless the writers come up with some original twists.

Earl was good for the first two seasons. Last season just sucked, and they promised to get back to form this season. We'll see.

I'd like to see True Blood, but we don't have HBO, alas. But it's based off Charlene Harris's Southern Vampire novels, so if anything, I could at least read one or two of those to see if I'd be interested in the dvds when they come out.

Terminator was pretty uneven, but got better towards the end of the season. Which episode did you see, do you remember?

And Pushing Daisies, I heard they're going to focus on family this year, that they realize the show works better when Chuck and Ned are working together instead of against each other, and I agree. Looking forward to see what they do with it this season. :)
