Year in Review: 2003

Heh, here's something I wanted to do for shits and giggles. For some reason, I have this quirky little trait where I collect the ticket stubs of all the movies I've seen. I don't know why I do this, but I do, and given that, I thought I'd go through and rate all the movies I've seen this past year. Movies that won't be listed will be movies that ( Read more... )

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saves ticket stubs. I have a little box that has some stubs back to 97 in it!

I used to tape my tickets to the back of a journal I kept, and now I keep them in a drawer. However, I still can't figure out whatever happened to the summer tickets that included Moulin Rouge.

Never understood saving movie stubs. My mind keeps mental track for me, thats just how my brain works. But dont worry Im right up there with you on the dork catagory for number of movies I have seen this year, and that doesnt even take into account my blockbuster rentals of movies I have never seen before!

HEY! Why isnt Finding Nemo witht he GREAT movie category?? Huh???

I don't know, actually. I thought really long and hard on that one, but I think I ended up choosing the "great" category based on movies I'd buy the dvd for.

Granted, I haven't bought Gangs of New York yet, but only cause it's a crappy edition. I really wanted to get it though. :)

And I don't have X2 either, but only cause they've proven themselves to put out bigger, better editions later.

:)

But Finding Nemo was still really, really good. :)

Don't worry, no insult taken! I was kinda mentally tabulating how much money I've spent too, and it's kinda scary...

...then again, qag has paid for some of these... hee hee...

...then again, I've paid for some of his tickets for these too...

This is too much reading.

But you liked the new Chainsaw Massacre better than the original? Good God, that's ridiculous. The original wasn't for everyone, but for a 30+year old movie that was made with about $25, it holds up damn well. This new version shouldn't be called Chainsaw Masssacre, it should be called "Pile of Excrement". The only massacre incolved was my $5.50 getting wasted when I bought the ticket.

"Sylvia: A good movie, but I felt at many times it was simply trying too hard to be another The Hours."

Ya think? What's next? A movie where Salma Hayek plays an over-rated Mexican artist that we are all supposed to care about? Booyah!

Down with Love: I loved this movie and I don't know why.

Tell me about it. I don't know why you love it either! BA-ZING!!

Fishizzle my Nizzle! I'm outta here!!! : )

Not to be one-uping you, but I still have every movie stub since I was about 10.
