what a fantastic love story, I adore the way they are in this. "I love you just the same as ever" ... really could squish that line to death. Thanks so much for this, it's perfect, light and intense at the same time (and hot as Hades which is all good) :))
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it. I actually wanted it to be angstier than it seems to have turned out - funny how that works sometimes (not that I'm good at angst generally). :-) I appreciate your comments!
Me again, just saying that I reread this, this morning, because I had to get to this scene where they are reunited on the train, as it had been on my mind. I love how you wrote this scene. I can totally see their reactions. How they are just so glad to be together.
It reminded me a little of a scene in the actual series. I can't remember the episode title, but it was one where they were separated for most of the episode and near the end Heyes sees Kid and calls across the street ("Mr. Jones!") and he has this big happy grin on his face, and you can just see how happy he is to see him (and you could swear he just wants to kiss him...but that might just be me)
OH! this was just special. You captured the Guys and the essence of their friendship and you turned it into a love story. There were so many great lines - I loved the way you had Heyes calm Kid as if he were a horse and I loved the images of naked cowboys. Thanks for a great read. Avoca
