I was searching the internet and found this list of 100 books that I now want to read. Some of them I've already got down.

There's a Winnie the Pooh book? HOW WAS I NOT AWARE OF THIS?! Oh, and Dune is on this list too, which makes me TOTALLY happy! I wonder why Atlas Shrugged isn't on here. Hm. Anyway, knowing you, you probably could read them all before '11. I'd cheer you on along the sidelines~

There are a lot of these books on my never-ending list of books to read. And *le gasp* Harry Potter isn't crossed off on your list?! o.o

Nope! I'm sadly oblivious to that series. Never read the books, and never seen the movies.

Oooh, I love this list. I think I need to steal it. :D

I think you can do it! You've got some good ones ahead of you- I personally adore Jude the Obscure and Heart of Darkness both. And Les Miserables! <3

Steal away!

I've already read 3/4ths of Les Miserables, but never finished it, and it's been a couple years ago, so I don't rightly remember everything that went on. What are the other books about?

They're both Modernist novels, which I adore in general. Jude the Obscure (by Thomas Hardy) is about a low-born man who seeks to educate himself and become a Doctor of Divinity at Christminster (fictionalized Oxford). It deals a lot with the plight of women and the uneducated in that era- plus, I think Hardy is awesome. Heart of Darkness (by Joseph Conrad) is the novel Apocalypse Now is based on, and the plot is similar. It deals with the darkness of colonialism and human cruelty in colonial Africa. SO good... But I have never been able to get through anything else of his, hehe.
