Now there's some hallowed halls.

Your blind faith is interesting. And your holiday a penitent action.

Hence our need to create a civilised society bound by rules, dogma, tradition. Boundaries. Cliffs with rocky depths gazing up invitingly from below.

Have you never thought that perhaps a weakness is not a weakness but a strength? Maybe so. I've done things that warrant it.

But there are people who always slip through the cracks. Genius. Criminal. Insane. Society, social norms... are not made for those people. Instead of assimilating them it pushes them outwards, to the edge so that all they can see is those cliffs. All they can see is the temptation. Would you call yourself one of those people, then?

Have you? Atonement comes in many forms.

...I decided I was one of those people when I was 11 years old. You?

I am considering it now. And what are they?

When I was eight and they put me in an orphanage for the damned. Sorry. Gifted. Only I'm still standing on the edge.

A weakness is already stronger for being acknowledged as such. What are you considering? I'm sure you can guess.

And your faith's the only restraint holding you back?

Perhaps. Just. Something. I can.

Yes. The only other person who could would jump with me. It is the only restraint.

Too frightened to tell me?

Doesn't the lack of resistance tell you something.
