[Too bad for people who were actually injured. Ocelot came out of the battle relatively unscathed, thanks to having so many others around fighting as well.

Of course, he'd just attribute the whole thing to his amazing skills! Now that things had settled down, he breezed through the hospital, looking for one patient in particular.]

[ And a doctor has appeared! He looks rather exhausted and harried, but friendly enough. You're a fairly new face he hasn't seen around much, however. ]

Excuse me, can I help you...?

Yeah. I'm looking for Snake.

[No use poking around when he can be sent directly to where Snake is.]

...I'm sorry, I don't know of anyone named Snake. Could you please describe them?

[A sigh.]

Snake. Big Boss. Whatever you want to call him. Has a thing for cigars and wears an eye-patch.

Oh! Big Boss, yes. I see. Please follow me; I can take you to his room. I only ask that you keep your voice down. We have an open ward, and there are many others injured and in need of rest. Big Boss himself isn't in very good condition, so I ask that you not disturb him if he's asleep.

[ And he grabs a few things off a nearby cart and turns back around, heading for the stairs up. ]

[Ocelot will keep it down, though every step is accompanied by a jingle of his spurs.]

What is his condition?

He's a very strong-willed man. I think he'll be fine with plenty of fluids and rest, but... [ And he faintly outlines the extent of his blood loss, but is intentionally vague and not forthcoming with details on his physical or mental condition. There was patient privacy still in effect so long as Hadesu's around, and he doesn't know this man. ]

May I ask what your relation is to him?

We met some time ago in our world. We have mutual acquaintances.

You don't seem entirely positive that he'll be alright, doc.

No no, I never said that. I just don't feel comfortable divulging much information to people I'm unfamiliar with, and I'm afraid it's been a harrowing week. If you'll just give me a moment. I hope you don't think my caution rude.

[ He stops the other man at the top of the stairwell, behind the door leading to the open ward beyond. Perhaps Kazuhira would be around, or Big Boss himself would be awake to ask for clarification. If not, he'd just keep an eye on him. ]

[Ocelot stops there at the top of the steps and shrugs. Sure, he'll wait.

That is, if the doc goes into the ward to ask the patient, one can bet Ocelot will try to walk right in as soon as the way is clear.]
