Oh, yes I did! Three times in three days, in fact, starting Thanksgiving evening. What a beautiful movie! I loved it so much. I especially loved the baseball scene, which was my favorite in the book as well ( Read more... )

Read the book for the first time shortly before seeing the movie, actually. And I know I'm an anomaly here, but I didn't like Pattinson as Edward. He's not ZOMGTEHPRITTY enough for me :P lol If they'da waxed his eyebrows a bit it woulda helped, but Pattinson's jaw is just too strong and manly for my taste in the character. Not saying strong manliness doesn't have its place, but its place isn't with Edward Cullen, IMO.

That being said, yes, Jasper is teh hawt :D Overall, I agreed with the casting and thouroughly enjoyed the movie. I felt its adaptation from the book was well done, and understood the edits-out and edits-in that were made. My mom tells me that there's contract-ness out for either three movies total (which would carry us up through Eclipse), or else three MORE movies (which would then encompass the whole series thus far). I've only read Twilight and New Moon, but do plan on reading the others as soon as I get them in my hot little hands :D

I thought Pattinson as Edward was absolutely dreamy...obviously. I *so* hope they'll make movies at least up to Eclipse...I'm reading that now, and I don't know if you've read it or not, but that tells a lot more of Jasper's back story. So if an Eclipse movie is made, there will be lots more Jasper!

i just finished the first book. i tried to read it THREE TIMES and was so bored by it that i couldn't get through the first few chapters. but my moms club was talking about it and they confirmed that the beginning of the first book sucks but you get sucked in. yep, i got sucked in. yesterday i went to target to get the second book and it wasn't there :( so i have to go buy it tomorrow. and possibly the third book. i don't know if i want to see the movie, at least not until it comes on tv, since i usually end up hating movie adaptations of books.

Yeah, like anything else, I guess it really appealed to some and to others, not so much.

I read the whole series and thought it was amazing. I love Twlight and I did like the movie. I thought the movie was a good adaption from the book. I thought that the guy that played Emmet was WAY hot. WAY WAY hot to be honest. I was drooling the whole time.

As far as the books go, I guess you either got pulled in or you didn't. Lots of book fans didn't like the movie, but geez...it was low-budget, and there was no way to cram it all into two hours. Maybe we'll get to see more whenever they release the dvd!

I've seen some of Kellan Lutz's non-Twilight pics, and thought they were yummy! I really liked him as Emmett, too.
