People like to say that by drawing attention to the statue, we increased interest in it and it sold out. Not true. It was already sold out well before my post on the subject went up.

Judge something from that distorted point of view, multiply it by 10, then allege and assume men do the same, then engage in that behavior in the name of empowerment.
If the Mary Jane figurine were like the drawing of Peter Parker above, then she would be topless, wearing nothing more than her thong.
Clearly that is not the case, as she is wearing jeans, a belt, a top and pearls.
Spidey is nearly naked. Mary Jane is not nearly naked.
How anyone can draw a comparison between the two images defies any intellectual merit.
Then there is the biological fact that women and men find different characteristics sexually attractive. Thus a woman posed as a man is not attractive, just as a man (as above) posed as a woman is not attractive.
