They can track my cold, dead body.

I am happy I still have a dumb phone, so they can't track me.

Ah, but if you read it closely, you'll see that Google/Apple is looking into non-smart phones as well.

Big Brother is awfully eager to get into this business, huh?

Thanks, Anais. (And, for what it's worth, yours is NOT a "cold, dead body" -- no way!)

Well, I can't actually read the whole article because of a paywall issue. But if they start trying to track me without my having consented by downloading their app or whatever, I will start leaving my cell phone at home sometimes, or turn it off when I leave the house. Big Brother can track somebody else.

Interesting -- when I clicked through a second time I was able to read the article.

That is a quite frightening post once turned on and in use...it will never be turned off, even if the govt said it had turned it off...we know better...i bet even George Orwell never found such a thing whilst looking in his tea leaves to glimpse the future.
As always a post of food for thought i think i would have preferred chocolate biscuits. Take care in these strange times...

Thanks, dear Bi! I'm reminded that I have friends in Orwell, near Cambridge. I never asked them if any intel types chanced to reside in the neighborhood, but...

Sounds like a modern version of Fritz Lang's classic "M", or a digital way of being tagged. What's next, "that person's a WITCH, hunt them down and kill them!"

No thanks, I'll keep my privacy.
