Die-based accelerometers can be made by anyone with the ability to make integrated circuits, if they are willing to carefully test and discard the majority of them that fail calibration, or lack the required accuracy and precision. Huawei already has the capability, this will just spur them to set up massively parallel production lines and improve their manufacturing yields.

Just think about this morning's news that the Japan-based US destroyer, the "John McCain" (actually named for Sen. McCain's father AND geandfather), was ordered by the White House [sic!] NOT to make its presence known to the.Orange One during his state visit to Japan.
