This is Wednesday, a. day after the events mentioned abive. Predictably, Trumpsky was much angered by the leak of details of his Putin phonecall. Whether it's the kiss of death for National Security Advisor McMaster, or not -- well, MSNBC guests on the topic tonight differed. Most discounted Trumpsky's actually firing anyone over this incident, but don't preclude it. For sure he WAS mightily embarrassed vis-a-vis his Russian controllers...
Actually, though, he was more thwarted by statements in the past day by several respected national-security observers, such as former CIA chief John Brennan who made a rare statement, characterizing The Donald's "fear of Putin" as a grave problem.
And his abject acceptance of Putin's wish for a face-to-face (which hadn't been mooted before the call) is being seen as a craven surrender.
