Special Counsel Robert Mueller is going to assemble an irresistible case against Trump and his minions. Getting the fucking Republicans in Congress to back him may be hard, but their contrariness will drag them down in next year's elections. No Congressman is going to want to defend Trump on his campaign trail; and, unless they've stood up against the asshole in the coming months, they won't escape the blame

Yesterday's Senate hearings (Comey, for all his faults last year, did a persuasive job) were watched live (on a workday) by 18 million people -- more than watched the pro-basketball playoffs that same evening!
The testimony set the tone for the work of special counsel Robert Mueller. Comey noted that he personally turned over to Mueller all his reports and detailed notes -- which will take his investigation directly into Trumpsky's disgraceful efforts to subvert the FBI investigation. (That had not been a specific charge in his original Russian-meddling task.)
I think impeachment is now very likely, and within a year. That, in turn, will shape the 2018 midterm Congressional elections. It won't be fucking pretty, but it will be irresistible.
