I actually don't think that her getting ill or fainting is that big a deal at all. It is how she chose to deal with it, again by lying and covering up and spinning that is troubling. She seems to firmly believe that cover up is the best solution for everything from her emails to a cough. People just don't deserve to know. They need to know what she chooses them to know even if takes breaking the security rules or the law, she is above that, and people do not deserve the truth, she will decide when it is time for the truth and when it isn't. Can she just stop harming herself and spinning and stop doing it I wonder? It increasingly doesn't look like it.
And all that "sexism" song as a response for everything is getting so bloody tiring. She fucked up. It has nothing to do with her gender. Trump is actually a blessing for her, he is about the only one she could win this race against.
Dear Topum -- I basically agree with you about her shortcomings, but l suggest we not get too far into the "damaged goods" theory regarding Hillary's psyche. It has the virtue of seeming to be right, BUT it doesn't deal with our problem, that asshole Trumpsky.
I DO note that even James Comey, the FBI Director (and himself a fucking Repub), proceeded under that presumption -- while arrogating unto HIMSELF the "right" to publicly shame her for her stupidity. (A Republican "tradition," it seems -- since the GOP did the same to Bill in gaming his impeachment almost two decades ago. )
But my seemingly cynical point remains -- as that OTHER Repub, then-SecDef Rumsfeld formulated it -- "you fight [a given war] with the army you've got." Indeed, Hillary.
Fucking political parties! As your much maligned Sir Winston said, roughly, "democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others..."

After living my life unaware of the deliciousness of Norway and Denmark (once a unified country), Joanne and I at long last visited Copenhagen and three Norwegian cities by cruiseship last June. Fabulous!
Keep the faith regarding our next President, Hillary, babe!
At least two ex-Presidents didn't tell the public the truth about their health. FDR largely managed to prevent the Press from revealing the true extent of his disability, whilst JFK projected an image of youthful vitality despite degenerative bone disease being only one of a great number of problems. Pneumonia seems very like a 'so what?'. If you're in a fight then it makes sense to downplay anything that the opposition might want to use against you.
Truly, Gary, as I just posited to your fellow Brit, Topum, we must live with her annoying character traits in order to avoid the greater evil.
Joanne and I last evening chanced to watch a forgotten movie starring Robin Williams -- oh, do I miss him! -- called "The Man of the Year." It is a 2006 celebration of the flaws of our electoral process. (The complicated plot involves a fucked-up presidential election that brings Robin, playing a charming TV comic, to seeming victory.)
