Trumpsky!

Given the erstwhile "Repub" candidate's disgraceful public statements, comparing that asshole Putin to our democratically elected and otherwise terrific Barack Obama, I pledge to refer to the aforementioned "Repub" from here to November as "Trumpsky ( Read more... )

Okay, while I didn't exactly steal the obscene name "Trumpsky" to denote the unholy alliance between the former, allegedly American candidate and the present Soviet, er, Russian dictator, I salute others' initiative in pursuit of an apt name for the son of a bitch. This particular site is elegant in its nastiness: https://mobile.twitter.com/ComradeTrumpsky

According to today's WPost, former Romney political advisor Max Boot said that "there's no precedent for what Trump[sky] is saying -- George McGovern was not running around saying 'what a wonderful guy Ho Chi Minh is!' "

If you are a fucking "patriot," you will denounce what Trumpsky is up to! (By "patriot," I mean any "Rinos" who* might be tempted to give the aforementioned stumblebum ANY political cover whatsoever. Best -- by which I mean, "worst" -- specific example: Speaker** Ryan.)

_____________
* "Repubs in name only" -- which conservatives used to call any of their party bedfellows who dared to vote for any socially responsible program whatsoever. I say we ought to refer to Trumpies who abandoned their party's proud history as the "Real-Rinos"...

** I seem long on nicknames this afternoon, but I suggest we call him "Spoken-for" for the rest of the campaign. After the "lame-duck" session of Congress, the title "ex-Speaker" will do nicely on those rare occasions when he's mentioned at all.

The level of political discourse in the US these days fascinates me. I think the time when it will become exclusively about coming up with names for different candidates and by candidates for each other is not far away. Very surprised that Putin can play such a significant role in it or that anyone would take comparisons with Putin seriously in the US.

Racism, simply! devifemme September 11 2016, 13:08:11 UTC
It isn't the "seriousness" of a Putin comparison: it's the near-treasonous INSULT to the office od=f President. "Lese-Majeste" could get one's head lopped off in the old days.

And, not to be forgot (OR forgiven!), McConnell and the other erstwhile Repub leaders coldly set out to destroy the prospects of the first black President -- deliberately and perversely denying him their collaboration.

That, my friend, is simple, hateful (and hate-filled!) RACISM.

Geee....
These certainly are the main issues in the US and this election right now. Lese-Majeste...

Alas, the two candidates -- Trumpsky in particular -- have little claim to "majeste"...
