Ooh, it's good to hear from you, Flame! Indeed, the Trump insanity is rolling all too conspicuously. I still feel that he will be resoundingly rejected next fall -- but everyone meanwhile will be nervous.
Well, first things first: we Yanks -- and lots of folks worldwide -- look on the UK's vote on the EU next month, hoping you'll do the right thing.
Then the spotlight comes back onto us, with the conventions -- presumably Trumpo against Hillary, without too much nasty stuff in the process. And THEN 3 months of weirdness, with Hillary emerging and the trumpies banished !!

But it has to be said that the fact that Trump has been allowed to get this far should be a wake up call to people who don't vote, or can't be bothered to vote, that this is what you get when you take democracy for granted. It's not just some machine that trundles on in the background and doesn't concern them, and if some penny-ante charlatan and snake-oil salesman like Trump were to attain high office it would in part be the fault of people who didn't care enough to try and prevent it with their vote.

All correct and thoughtful, Gary! One odd thing about Trump is that he's energized a certain number of non-voters who will complicate the calculations of how it will go.
On the other hand, frantically mobilizing liberal and moderate voters should more than offset the extra votes likely to come out for the Trumpster.
And we gotta hope all those sane voters will mercilessly PUNISH the Repubs all down the ballots nationwide. There are literally NO Republicans who should remain unscathed.
