Yeah, me, too! However, I may not be cut out to keep track of a 36-year-old car. Heck I worry about my 7-year-old Mustang -- convertible tops and a lot of stuff start getting fragile at that age.
In the mid-80s, I brought back from Italy a 19-year-old Alfa Giulia spyder that I'd happily driven for three years; this was back when private used-vehicle imports were still allowed. Before I left Rome, I had a former Alfa racing mechanic get it into good shape -- but, nonetheless, had to have the gearbox rebuilt within a month of delivery in Baltimore. (Back in the day, it was about $1,500; I'm sure now it'd be twice or three times that...)
Subsequently I sold it, reliability much on my mind...
