Resize it in winpaint and upload to LJ. Should work. Otherwise there's lots of free icon making software out there. Even websites that can do it automagically. You probably knew this. But if not...

Well, I KNEW about it -- but that isn't the same as being comfortable with doing it. (My own several icons here are as much as I'm likely to manage -- and one of them was spiffed up by a friend several years ago, and it wouldn't be as snazzy except for that bit of tech help.)
