We all care about friends' suffering

I care, too. This URL takes you to a reblog I just did on Tumblr. A girl wrote about her best friend in high school. The guy hanged himself, lost in his depression and -- all too typical --convinced that no one cared about him.
I truly hope you see this, Ms. Anonymous, and know that yet another soul understood the pain that depression forces you to experience. I'm going to repost this on my main blog devifemme.livejournal.com in the hope that you and all who suffer mental illness will see (1) people DO care, however imperfectly, and (2) that there is effective professional help to be had.
Of the latter, I have no doubts: More than a decade ago, I was prescribed two meds that have cured my symptoms very effectively. They're Zoloft and Wellbutrin; you may need different ones, but I'm sure you can be diagnosed effectively and your depression (or whatever it is) brought under control. Don't despair; don't think you're beyond help!
