My Thursday had only TWO parts: a VERY intense day's work (mainly dealing with my office's IT problems!) and an extended dinner at home with three sweet out-of-town guests. Me: "Erm, erm, erm...I"
Her: "Italian it is, then!"
So we went to a very nice local Italian restaurant. Spaghetti Bolognese for her, Chicken Calabrese for me. The food was gorgeous, but the other lovely thing was having the staff dance attendance over us "What would you like?...anything else?....and to drink?.....how is the meal?....hope that you enjoyed it....come again" and no washing up to do (we left them a nice tip). Most of the rest of the night was taken up with a sort of post-meal golden glow.

I recall a bad experience in a supposedly authentic Italian joint in London 20 years ago -- that seems so unlikely, today.
