Back to the grind

Got back yesterday afternoon, and Joanne and I had had a lovely re-launch of our ever-complicated life together. Slept late this morning, and have had a lazy day. Spring is definitely on us here too. Trees are looking greener every day. The split and transplanted rhubarb crowns are recovering and have new stems coming. The willow hedge is sprouting fresh leaves. The horseradish is starting to produce leaves. Still got more willow to plant. Then the rest of the spring and summer work on the garden is planned out, with raised beds to build and fill with topsoil. Walkways to surface. Then next year I'll be growing my own veggies.

Sorry, dear Alice and you other sweet friends here -- who may be trying to make sense out of the post here. I composed it on my BlackBerry today, but once again found out it doesn't easily post drafts -- unless one dumbs them down into that "m.livejournal.com" format. (Which, in turn, resists subsequent editing -- in this instance, I hadn't yet figured out where I was ending parentheses, etc.)

I think I'll TRY to re-learn those lessons by re-doing this text and re-posting it.

Sorry!

Certainly IS! And Florida didn't have such a good week, spring-wise! I do hope Sweden is benefitting from the northerly good weather...

At the moment we're doing the exact opposite. Two weeks staycation-sleeping late, doing some spring cleaning, relaxing.... or at least I will after the weekend is over. An enormous amount of work has arrived, and I don't want to leave the other members of my department in the lurch. So, I'm trying to get things back on an even keel before I start doing some serious relaxing.
