I don't know whether we're about to get a re-make of the movie, but there's a fetching girl in s-costume over on Tumblr. I quibbled about the drab red/blue color-scheme (think Batman-gloomy!) in my reblog of the photo --http://

It's interesting that the costume is such drably serious in colour, but they've kept the ultrashort skirt (not that I'm complaining about the skirt length....) The problem is that the movies correctly decided that the Batman costume looked better if you kept it as dark as possible, but then they thought that the drab colour scheme fitted all of the superhero costumes. Superman and co. should be as vibrant as possible. They're not supposed to be hiding in the dark. They're supposed to be reassuring. It would be nice if they could do another Supergirl movie, or at least introduce her to the current franchise. They did a movie back in 1984. Helen Slater was born to play the title role, but the movie itself was pretty awful. They should give the character another chance.

Yes, I hope they do a remake, after the downright inane 1984 version. The girl here -- who is unknown to me (but I'm terrible at faces, just ask Karen) -- would perhaps be a good choice... providing she CAN act, which isn't exactly clear.

Any LJers know and details about her? The Tumblr post was typically minimal.
