It was a sweet little photo, and a very nice piece of cosplay. Although Ramis was not quite the household name that some of his contemporaries were, he was a very talented writer,director and performer. He also directed and co-wrote one of my favourite films of all time (and, I think, one of the greatest films of all time) GROUNDHOG DAY. It's the sort of film that will still play perfectly in 50 years time. It's sad that Ramis is no more, but then the message of that film is, perhaps, that loving life includes loving the fact that it passes.
Very nicely put, Gary! Artists DO have that advantage over the rest of us -- they can try for a modicum of immortality. Not that their odds of success are that much better than most of us unartistic folk face.
