Everybody I know has been raving about Watchmen, but I've been holding back on seeing it in large part (the other part being that movies are so expensive in the theater) because of the gratuitous violence (I don't mind violence in movies when it has a purpose). Although I do kind of like the idea of the bad guy winning once in a while; not because I like evil but because it seems somehow more realistic in the world in which we live (not that anything else would be realistic). So very interesting run down of the movie's flaws and strengths. Thanks for sharing it.

Good to hear from you again hon, i've read your recent entry, yeesh! you work don't you?
I feel positively lazy sometimes after reading your latest escapades.

Another thing I forgot to put in the review was that as the story's set in an alternative America, and in 1986-7 you do see the World Trade Center in the New York skyline.
it's still giving me chills, to see those parallel buildings.
*sigh*
