From my experience, I have realized why the cool are losing the war. Perhaps, the war is already lost. One of the prime factors, I think, is the fact that cool people do not breed... and if they do, after one they realize that perhaps one is too many. Meanwhile, the opposition lives by "Be fruitful and multiply."

Today is set aside to remind us that nothing is free. Regardless of fear and trepidation, people have paid the ultimate price so we could fire up our Webber grills. It is not the way things should be, but it is the way they are.

I do remember. Not strangers, but the men and women that I called friends and family.

I will be doing an annual hard reset on my brain this evening. It has been a long time in coming, but I seriously need to clear some space from my volatile memory.

I miss all of those that are resorting to reading this.
