it's been nuts at work today. a U of C physicist won the Nobel Prize and everyone in the news office is running about. i, however, have very little to do with the hubub as yoichiro nambu has nothing whatever to do with community relations. still, i'll be drafted to translate the japansese language part of the press conference we held this morning ( Read more... )

yeah, i was surprised to understand much of the conference. that's mainly because they didn't go into his research much, they wanted to know how he felt about winning etc. that's good because i have absolutely no science vocabulary in japanese.

i'll keep a look out for what you sent! i love a good mystery ;0)

I just looked at the schedules for the Cubs and White Sox in June. Sox are home the 1-11, and Cubs are home 12-14. Brewers are home 9-14. This is doable!
Let's just hope there isn't an AT&T strike during that time because AR will have to cancel any vacation during that. It's going to seriously suckk.

yeah, you'll have to stick around a while to see the cubs, which as a southsider, i can't really encourage you to do. but, i suppose, in the grand scheme of the baseball parks tour, i can understand ;0) plus, the city will have plenty to entertain you in the meantime. all the neighborhood festivals start in june. chicago really is something to behold in the summer.
