Beer. Ugh. I'm Irish so I should be swilling it back according to those stats but I never touch the stuff. (Or Guinness)

I think we need more timbered houses and less beer over here :)

Interesting facts, I didn't know any of that before... It's weird that there are still princes in Germany - I kind of thought that since Germany is not a monarchy, there are no people with aristocratic titles.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_beer_consumption_per_capita, Germany in third in beer consumption after Czech Republic and Ireland. Germany still drinks 115.8 liter per person per year, which is just about 0.5 liters per day, if you don't drink on Sundays and Mondays. (But in Czech R, you can drink 0.5 liter per day INCLUDING Sundays to reach their per capita of 159 liters.)
