oh some people say "einholen gehen" if they mean groceries shopping -__-" to me it sounds like they're fishing..

Einholen is so weird to me too. I've only heard it in the southwest aka Schwabliland. ;)

Yes - I just wanted to post this... "einkaufen gehen" is for grocery and "shopping" is for fun!

Yes, that's pretty much it. For most people it's Einkaufen = food/necessaties. Shoppen for the rest that's more fun and/or windowshopping.

hate that word.
Much more worser are "round a bout" ( i hope i wrote it right), "what ever" or "voten/gevotet".
I hate it when people use denglish to show how they are somehow superior than others who don't know english.
