Oh. Right. That's why ya don't drink that much at once. Geez, it's been a few days and I still feel it. Reap what ya sow, I guess. Don't say too much that I'd do it again it a heartbeat, does it? Ah, this wouldn't have happened when ol' Raven was younger. I tell ya, I'd have ta drink at least twice as much ta even come close ta feelin' lik-

Not directly, but there are a few things related to my world that I'm inclined to believe should not be able to logically happen.
"That much"? I only had a glass or two, and... no, nevermind...

I was only asking for your opinion on the matter.

[Yes she is.]

Naive? Well I suppose there are things I'm still learning about, seeing how different life was back then...
[Is wondering if Raven has guessed that she has someone she likes. It's not like she's ever been even vaguely interested in anyone before except for the very same person, back in 'forgotten memories land'. Perhaps she's being too obvious about it. She doesn't exactly want the whole island to know.]

A young woman, raised in a vastly different society than we, enters into our lives for reasons outside of her control! But life is so much different now then it was in the past, and as our beautiful heroine struggles to cope with her new life, she must contend with the new stirrin's of that crazy little thing we call a heart. Oh, so romantic! Brings a tear ta this old man's eyes.

Wh-what?!! N-no! I don't like anyone! Really!
And that story sounded absolutely ridiculous. Even if Estelle probably would have enjoyed it if she were still here.

Fiction is never nearly as ridiculous as truth, darlin'~

[This strong denial gradually dissolves into a quiet, unhappy glare on her part.]
The very idea is absurd. There's no way I'd waste my time by falling in love with someone. Besides, it would never work out.
[Did we say she was being totally obvious?]
That may be the case. Auldrant doesn't make a great deal of sense at the moment.

[And for a moment, he becomes... well, not entirely serious, but enough that he's not teasing her. Yet.]
It's a nice attitude, but it doesn't really carry over too well ta reality. Sometimes yer head thinks it can order anythin' back in line... but the heart does what it's gonna do.

[Oh, but it is. Tear takes a moment to compose herself, trying to block out everything Raven is saying. Except she notices the hints of that "different personality" starting to surface again.]

The heart is just another muscle. There's an explanation for why people feel the things that they feel. Some of it's reflex, some of it's based on a person's experiences and the things they're familiar with.
All those stories about perfect romances might be nice, but you're right. They could never happen in real life.
Although I wouldn't complain if they did.

And wantin' ta get with someone else can be one of those things. 'Specially when ya deny it as hard as ya do.

I suppose there are things that can't be explained. I'll cede that argument.
I'm not sure what you mean by "get with"...
[Muttered.]
He's an idiot and he complains all the time. He's like a little kid. Who knows what would happen to him if he was left on his own for too long.
