Hey, remember the Unpopular Opinions poll? I finally found time to post the last part of it.

I will say unconditionally that person #2 is a fucking idiot, and person #5 deserves to be blown up.

It might interest you to know that person #5 has an advanced degree in international relations, and does not entertain anti-Muslim sentiments whatsoever.

It doesn't particularly interest me or really surprise me, colleges and universities not being particularly noble sources of nimble or enlightened thinking. The credentials behind one's idiocy would sooner make me skeptical of the validity of the credentials (or at least their relevance) rather than the person's lack of idiocy.

I tried to get him to discuss this with you. It would have been truly interesting. But he had somewhere to go (and doesn't hang around LJ much). I can, however, give you this, from an IM conversation:

I'm not going to engage. But if you'd like to, my point in the "sometimes" is that sometimes my better angels are struck down by the inner demons who see the legitimacy of American primacy in the region. The point of the poll... opinions you sometimes have that aren't popular.

#3 is the only one which neccessitates an absolute crime against morality. The rest are just stupid.

As for #5, the U.S. Flag is in Mecca. Planting one there would be a tasteful formality only.

Well, I guess "have" kids need not mean give birth, but...I'm a breeder who hates other breeders :p

Anyone who feels that they should have the right to stop a woman from having an abortion should be willing to adopt a non-white, drug-addicted baby. Heh, maybe I shoulda added THAT one to the poll the first time around? :D
