Agreed on the first part. I'm not freaked out unless it's someone who seems weird or who lives nearby (and I don't know who they are).

I tend to be the one to add first. Then it bugs me if they don't add me back. I'M COOL DAMMIT! And everything I write is super interesting! I mean it! Really!

I generally don't realize someone's added me to theirs until I'm randomly changing my custom friends-locked security settings. Then I'm like...WHO THE STALKER?! haha. But it's usually a cool friend of a friend,and I add 'em.

I was added by someone I'd never heard of recently and I liked the way the wrote in their journal so I responded in a similar fashion and they removed themselves from my page immidiately. So I guess they weren't all that cool.

There've been some serial frienders going around lately...running experiments to see how many people they friend will automatically reciprocate. I got hit by 3 of them in 2 days. I tend to wait & investigate. About 24 hours later, they removed me without my doing anything or reciprocating.
