My old man sent me some pics today of my first car, which I drove during the time I lived with him in high school. After I moved out during my junior year, he sold it to his brother-in-law's father, who un-did some of my modifications (namely ditching my baby-moon wheels and white letter Cooper tires) because he wanted it to look like it did in ( Read more... )

I thought you might. I vaguely remember doing something quartet-related in it one time, but I could be wrong. Any idea what I'm recalling?

I think you're right. Solo & Ensemble was probably the occasion. Maybe I took you from the high school to the Ogrens on my way back to Trempealeau? Seems to jog the memory a bit.

Pretty nice. Something about the shape makes me think it would float in water, like one of those amphibious vehicles.

I always thought of it as a sorta aircraft carrier-looking car, so long and flat on the top. My original nickname for it was "the Nimitz." My dad preferred "Moby" (the only Moby he's aware of is the Melville one).
