The shredding of the sky

What an incredible rainstorm we're having here tonight. The clinking of rain against the glass is only surpassed by the crisp freshness of the season's first carillon of thunder across the night sky. It sounds as if a gigantic head of iceberg lettuce is being torn apart above the city.
