Unbelievable

The incompetent fools at the dry cleaners lost my favourite blouse. Then I got the pleasure of meeting up with Mulrooney at a crime scene (...that was sarcasm, in case you didn't know).

I'll be glad when this day is over. Scratch that, I'll be glad when this case is over.

Kevin Mulrooney? How come you ran into him...and why is that such a terrible thing?

He's the ADA for the Boz Burnham case, which happens to be connected to the case from 10 years ago. Not fun. And it's complicated.

You've seen the news about Burnham being killed, right? He was the lead suspect in the death of his wife 10 years ago. There wasn't enough evidence to convict, yadda, yadda, yadda. You know how it is.

Mulrooney lost, and that's why he's career went south.

Ugh, I've heard about him. Sorry you had to run into him at a crime scene of all places.

They weren't able to find the blouse at all?

Where do you know him from?

Yeah--I've found it, but I can't say here where it was.

I'd heard about the nature of the case - well, what was "missing" - and ran into him at the courthouse one day while hanging around to talk to a social worker.

I understand. Guess you're not getting it back then huh? Sorry.

No, I'm not getting it back. To be honest, I don't think I want it back. I'll see if I can get a new one.
