Today was the same as any other. He'd been here... almost three weeks? Was that all? Adachi wasn't sure either way. The days already seemed to blend into one another and he hadn't really gone in for that cliched tallying of his time spent in clink

Stein waited until night before heading in to visit Adachi. This wasn't exactly his style, but it wasn't difficult to mow through the police guards. Adachi would likely hear the yelling and gunfire as he knocked them out one by one.

Finally he stole the keys from one of the guards and let himself into the cell block and walked down the hall, checking the cells, in search of a familiar face.

As he walked, he lit up a cigarette, his eyes glittering eagerly. This wasn't the kind of fighting that he normally found interesting, but he was sure Adachi would compensate him for his time.

Adachi couldn't miss the sounds of the break-in and it was music to his ears. He very much doubted anyone else here had people who could pull this off so he got up eagerly, moving to the bars of his cell.

Even from here he could recognise who it was. His face dropped a little as he noticed that it was just Stein. Whatever. Escape was escape, even if he had to deal with the crazier of the two doctors. "Hey, doc!" he called. "Been a while."

Stein smiled and blew out a cloud of noxious smoke as he came to face Adachi at the front of the cell. "Hi Adachi. Having a good time? I thought I'd come visit and see how you were doing in jail."

Despite being good at hiding his irritation, Adachi couldn't keep the frown off his face. "Yeah, I'm doing great. Jail's a real blast when you don't get TV privileges."
