Well, I guess you're not American, huh? I should probably keep that in mind, since I'm not in Colorado anymore.

Basically it was an American pop culture joke sorta. There was this guy singer in like, the 80s, named Prince? And he just had the one name? He sang, uhm.. 'Purple Rain'? Anywhore, long story short, in the 90s he decided to change his name to a symbol. And then after that, he decided to change his name to 'The Artist Formerly Known as Prince'.
