No, outright calling my son a retard is not on friendly terms. Other things ensued, but this is the major sticking point. Now, I was the one a while back who said everyone is entitled to their own opinions when I voiced mine. But when i voiced my opinions, I made sure to clarify them as opinions with words like "I think" and "In my opinion." Just calling somone's child a retard, is not a statement of opinion, but rather an outright insult, and even the most drunken wino on the street knows you don't come between a parent and their child!
