Oh, this was a really neat look at both of them, and their relationship - I enjoyed it a lot! I love Neal helping out Peter on his cases even while Peter's still trying to catch him, and really enjoyed the way that Peter's changing attitudes toward Neal are examined over time. And I'm flattered to have inspired it. :)

Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it. I had scenes from your fic running through my head the entire time I was writing this, so I definitely drew inspiration from it. :)

Very nice, but I have to ask. Was the painting a Caffrey original?

Thank you! Yes, I guess in my mind it was a Caffrey original. I kind of left it open so that I have the opportunity to bring it up in a future fic.

I enjoyed this fanfiction a lot, really nicely done! I especially liked the insights into pre-canon and how it fits in perfectly. But I also like how it progresses to the Peter-Neal dynamic we know and love.

I would love it if canon explored more of pre-canon, there are so many stories that could be told. But hey, until then, we do have fanfiction, right?

Thank you so much for your comment!

Oh, this was just wonderful. Loved, loved the way you used the green as a thread running through the story - only to have it be in the end... a random whim. (Probably, unless Neal's just being devious for the sake of it. *g*) It's wonderful, because you just demonstrate so well both the differences between the two of them, and the reasons why they work so well together. Thank you for an excellent read!
