Well, I'm not completely sure it's ghosts, but I figured it couldn't hurt to protect myself just in case.

And you can find out a lot of stuff just by looking it up in the encyclopedia. That's what I usually do, anyway.

Something like that. I read that if you put it over the doors and windows, then evil spirits can't come through them.

Before you use it all, would you mind sprinkling some around the areas where the machinery is malfunctioning? If you turn out to be right, then it may stop whatever is causing the mechanical discrepancies.
