Still haven't seen the film (yeah, I know you're shocked) but this did prompt me to get on the library hold list (only 188 people ahead of me!) and I'll know where to go once I've watched it. :)

I'd seen Whishaw before, but really fell for him in The Hour and Bright Star, and loved that reteaming him with Daniel Craig was a mini-Layer Cake reunion. ♥

I have The Hour on my iPad to watch on vacation...wait, I am on vacation, I should get on that!...but I have never seen Layer Cake.

I'm not partial to gangster flicks, but I loved Layer Cake. And if you haven't seen Bright Star, about Keats and Fanny Brawne, I highly recommend that.

For reasons that should hopefully become very apparent in about 2 months, you are giving me ideas.

People sometimes forget that in a previous movie, Bond hacked into M's computer.

Ahhhh, I love love love your Skyfall thoughts! I totally hadn't noticed all those visual cues (though it's Sam Mendes, so I probably should have been looking for them). Now I'm flaily all over again with how amazing this movie was.
