Farewell, Spartacus

For those few Spartacus: Blood and Sand fans on my flist - Andy Whitfield has died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. I just finished a rewatch of Spartacus a few days ago, and I was struck all over again by how good he really was in the role, and by his beautiful eyes. He was only 39. Too young ( Read more... )

I think I need to find one that shows his beautiful eyes, because, as they say. Windows to the soul. (So, so sad.)

wasn't a hugh fan of the show, but its sad that he has lost his battle. He was too young to pass.

It seems so shocking, even when someone has been ill for a while, when they are young like this. Just...not right, somehow.

I was really hoping he'd beat it. He was just way, way too young. :(

I've never seen the show, but for me, the news makes jarrow's vid all the more poignant.

I think the show probably wouldn't be your cuppa, but you know, John's vid distills out much of the beauty amongst the ugliness, and you're right - it's even more poignant, now.

oh no! I loved that guy!!! :( He had the most beautiful emotive eyes! He will always be Spartacus to me!
