I can't think of a single character that is left (besides Lisa and Ben and they better watch their asses), can you? We're down to the Fab Four, and frankly, Bobby had better make sure his affairs are in order. I'm surprised he's lasted this long.

I always thought as characters were killed off, 'well at least there's still Rufus!' Actually, I've known about this for months, since a pap posted pics of the funeral scene, but that doesn't make it sting any less.

The only bone I can possibly toss the writers way is based off the speech Dean gives at the end. Foreshadowing anyone?

But despite the headcount, I *loved* this episode. OK, they could have made the creature a *tad* more original. I dunno. More snakelike, maybe red with chartreuse stripes, anything.

I think there are a few still around. Meg's the only one coming to mind, tho, and she's not a friendly. I don't know, I just feel like we've bee down this road before...and down it again...and again...and again. Time to stop! Honestly.

But like you, I loved the rest of the ep as well, because the stuff they do well, they do excellently well.

I'm not quite as emotionally invested now either. I think it's because the Sam/Dean mystery is solved-- there was *something* going on with them, something bigger than them, but completely wrapped around them. We found out what it was, and the outcome, and even though we're still getting after shocks, the intensity/anxiety is gone.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy Show, but I can breathe between eps now. *g*

I was stunned stupid when Dean shot Gwen.

The Sam/Dean door kick? Kicked ass!

Dean watching Samuel with those hard, hard eyes-- shivers! I love his intensity. :)

I'm glad I wasn't the only one surprised when Dean shot Gwen! My mouth actually dropped open. I was all wallowing in the surprise!sensible moment Gwen was having. I should have known the moment they made her smart and capable, she'd have to die. OMG, did I just say that out loud? I think I did. Well, whatever. It's true.

The Sam and Dean mystery has no teeth this season, and I'm completely bored by it. So they need to get on with this whole mother/Eve thing, and make it not boring. And soon. *g*

It's really unfortunate that the writers and producers on this show never really learn from past mistakes in this arena.

FWIW, from the beginning, it was pretty clear to me that SPN was The Sam and Dean Show. I'd be mightily pissed if they ended up killing Bobby off (or even Lisa and Ben), but I can't say I'd be surprised.

I have absolutely no problem with it being the SamnDean show. That's what I'm in it for. But we've already been down this road, with killing off their support system, isolating them, etc. This isn't new ground, and that's why it annoys me so much, and strikes me as especially pointless. It isn't season 2, where John had to go so the archetypal hero's journey could commence. It isn't season 3, where the good guys started dropping, or season 4 or 5, where the bloodbath continued in an attempt to leave Sam and Dean at the center of the universe all alone. That plot point is played out.

I'm over that tactic. As you can tell. *g*

Ooooh, I love your observation about gut, head, heart. That's very astute. *g* And I agree, about Gwen's potential. If they were going to bring her back just to shoot her, what a freaking waste. I can think of ten things off the top of my head that they could have done with her to make her useful and awesome, and it's kind of tragic that the writers of the actual show aren't at least that creative. Tragic is the wrong word. How about, disappointing.

I do get that they want to go with the isolation thing for Sam and Dean, but as I said above in a comment, that isn't new ground. We've seen this plot before, and it was done better in previous seasons. So they need to get to the point, or stop doing it. (And there needs to be fic about every one of your interesting questions!)

I was shocked about Gwen, too. But then the title registered and I was like. Ahhh, they're all going to die. It was just a matter of who goes first. I was on the edge of my seat whether they were truly going to gank Bobby, too.

Not sure if most people know but the ep title, "And then there was none" is the title from an Agatha Christie novel where all characters basically get killed off one by one by a member of their party.

*geek moment off* hehehe

The book is also known as Ten Little Indians, a play I was in during high school. 'Tis a classic for sure! *g*

I try not to think about Bobby getting (permanently) killed, because that would be a dealbreaker for me, at this point. There aren't many left, because the show has no concept of final death - just about every person has died on this show, and either been resurrected or appeared in the afterlife/a hallucination/some other form - but if he goes, I'm out.

Yup! When I first read the book, the title was Ten Little Indians. Hehe. So cool that you were in a play for that. I loved it. :-)

Yeah, Bobby would be hard to lose. I was so scared for him when Soulless!Sam was trying to kill him actually. I was actually shouting at the TV - that's really when it sank into me how attached I was to him.
